2PM WOOYOUNG Says JYP Ent.'s Problem Is that J.Y. Park Thinks He Is Good at Singing

2PM WOOYOUNG shared that the biggest underlying problem of JYP Entertainment is that head producer J.Y Park thinks he is good at singing.

On September 25 episode of KBS' television show 'H K Coin', SM Entertainment boy group EXO's member XIUMIN made a guest appearance. 

While XIUMIN and the hosts sat down for a talk, comedian Cho Sae-ho asked WOOYOUNG and XIUMIN if there was a difference between JYP Entertainment and SM Entertainment's style of singing.WOOYOUNG answered, "Of course! It's very different, indeed. J.Y. Park tells me that I should breathe at the same time as when I sing, but I should let just enough amount of my breath out."

He went on, "He says it's important to find the middle ground. That's what his well-known saying, 'Half air, half sound' is all about." 

As Hong Jin-kyung listened to this, she asked, "Umm... J.Y. Park thinks he's really good at singing, doesn't he?" 

WOOYOUNG burst out laughing and said, "Exactly. He truly does. That's always been the biggest deep-seated problem of our company!" 

He looked right at the camera and stated, "Please make sure that these words are aired!" 

Afterwards, XIUMIN spoke about SM Entertainment's main producer Yoo Young-jin's style of singing, "He sings differently to J.Y. Park. He's great at singing, and he worked with me on my latest solo album." 
Then, Hong Jin-kyung asked, "Why did you choose to join SM Entertainment?" 

XIUMIN responded, "Well, I was 19 years old when I started training at SM Entertainment. I was initially preparing to study Physical Education at a university. I wanted to become a bodyguard."  

Surprised by the fact that XIUMIN actually wanted to become a bodyguard, the hosts asked whether he was a black belt holder. 

With a shy smile, XIUMIN answered, "Ah yes, I hold a fourth-degree black belt in taekwondo, and first grade in kendo."
