Actor Yoo Ah-In Exempt from Mandatory Military Service Due to 'Osteosarcoma'
On June 27th, Actor Yoo Ah- In was exempted from military service due to his health problem.
 
"Due to pre-existing medical conditions, actor Yoo is exempted to serve in the military from the Military Manpower Administration(MMA)" the UAA said.  유아인 군대 면제In 2015, the 30-year old actor Yoo was diagnosed with benign bone tumor after rupturing his shoulder during filming actions movies called "Tough as Iron" and "Veteran". 

Since then, he undergone five rounds of physical checkups but the MMA each time put off the decision on whether or not to admit him. 

But recently, MMA declared that since actor Yoo's bone tumor has worsened to osteosarcoma his physical condition was ranked seven in the physical checkup-- meaning that he cannot serve in the military. 

In a press release, actor's management agency United Artists Agency said, "We will do our best to actively support the actor’s health condition with the highest priority by carefully observe the treatment process and managing his health."
