Actor Park Hae-jin will receive 'Honorable Mention in Seoul Award' for his good Samaritan act.
According to a source from Seoul Council on Social Welfare, Park Hae-jin has been chosen to receive Seoul Council's Volunteer Service Award for '2017 Seoul Social Welfare Competition'.
He will receive an award from the Mayor of Seoul in Seoul City Hall on September 5, at 2 PM KST.
The 'Seoul Social Welfare Competition' was organized to recognize and praise people who have contributed to the social welfare―whether that is social organizations, volunteers, or supporters.
Like his nickname of 'Icon of good deed and donation', he has steadily made donations and done volunteer activities numerous times.
His volunteer works include, delivering and contributing briquettes to recipient of basic living, elderly living alone, and neglected minority group.
Not only he participated in volunteer work besides his busy acting career, but also made donation about 1.7 billion won (approximately 1.5 million dollars) since 2011.
His donation was used toward, but not limited to, Sewol Ferry's bereaved family's psychotherapy, rehabilitation hospital fund, and earthquake disaster recovery fund.
Meanwhile actor Park is currently preparing for his next drama 'Four Men'.
