BLACKPINK Tops Oricon,Taking Extraordinary Steps in Japan!
K-pop girl group BLACKPINK has topped the weekly chart in Japan's renowned music chart Oricon.

According to Oricon, since BLACKPINK made a debut in Japan in August 30, it has sold around 39,000 units and has topped Oricon's weekly CD Album chart.

It is third time that international artist is sweeping Oricon's weekly chart. Before BLACKPINK, there were Russia's duo group t.A.T.u., and 2NE1 who have swept Oricon's weekly chart.

Also, its mini album 'BLACKPINK' has topped in Japan's biggest record shop―Tower Records and was beloved by fans in Japan.

While its showcase can only accommodate 14,000 fans, on the day of showcase around 200,000 fans showed up. Thus, Japan's mainstream media and sports magazines paid attention to their unprecedented event.

BLACKPINK has performed in Japan's annual series of summer concert 'A- Nation' for its opening, and showed up in Japan's biggest fashion event stages―taking extraordinary steps as new artist group.
