Much-anticipated K-pop project group JBJ's debut reportedly reached a "deadlock".
On September 7, multiple sources of the K-pop industry revealed that one of JBJ members―Kim Tae Dong may not be joining the group.
Kim Tae Dong is currently dealing with legal disputes with his agency Major 9, requesting the agency to terminate his contract hereafter.
A source from LOEN Entertainment―the agency which manages JBJ said, "Kim Tae Dong and Major 9 are still negotiating. If this continues, it may not be possible for Kim to join JBJ. It's a deadlock for now."
He added, "As long as the two parties reach to an agreement, Kim will join JBJ immediately as planned. However, it seems to take quite amount of time (to do so)."
JBJ is a project group of trainees from different management agencies.
The trainees made their appearance on M.Net's TV show 'Produce 101 Season 2' together, forming a substantial fandom to debut as a project group.
Currently, other six members except for Kim Tae Dong are recording their debut album for their October debut.
