K-pop boy group SHINee's Minho shared how the fellow members reacted after former U.S. President Barack Obama mentioned SHINee during his speech.
On September 12, Minho made an appearance at SBS 'Han Bam', having an interview with I.B.I's Kim So Hee.
When Kim So Hee mentioned, "I heard that a very special person talked about SHINee recently", Minho answered, "Yeah. Former U.S. President Obama mentioned SHINee."
Back in July of this year, Barack Obama mentioned SHINee during his speech at 'The 8th Asian Leadership Conference' held in Seoul.
He briefly commented that popular k-pop idol groups such as SHINee encourage American teenagers to learn Korean.
Minho said, "We(SHINee) didn't believe the news until we saw the actual clip of his speech."
He added, "Honestly, we were shocked. We thought it was all made up!"
Then Kim So Hee pointed out that Barack Obama had even known SHINee's favorite burger place in Los Angeles.
Minho responded, "I know! Whenever we go to the United States, we go to that place. It's a must."
Minho also left a short video message to Obama saying, "On behalf of SHINee, once again I would like to say thank you. Beyond grateful."
