K-pop boy group EXO's LAY was being sued for allegedly not paying for his airfares.
On September 20, multiple Chinese news outlets reported that LAY has been caught up in a lawsuit for not paying for his air tickets for two times.
However, LAY's studio explained what the actual situation was all about.
The studio stated, "Our studio has purchased the air tickets through a ticketing agency, and we already made the necessary payments―20,000 yuan (approximately 3,040 dollars).
However, the ticketing agency did not make the payment to the airline company. They do not answer our phone calls at this moment."
Also, LAY's studio clarified that they have not received any notice from the court nor the airline company for this issue.
They explained, "If we receive any notice from the court, we will inform the further details and take actions in accordance. Thank you for LAY's fans for sending all their love and concerns."
Currently, LAY is focusing on his promotions in China as a solo artist, while fellow EXO members are promoting its newest repackaged album 'THE WAR: The Power of Music'.
