Beloved Korean actress Park Shin Hye has donated 50 million won (approximately 45,800 dollars) to help recent earthquake victims in the city of Pohang.
On November 15, magnitude 5.4 earthquake hit Pohang, the southeastern city of Korea.
According to a representative from Korea Food for the Hungry International, Park Shin Hye donated her fortune to the organization on the day after.
Park's donation will be used to help children in Pohang―to manage their post-traumatic stress and to improve their residential environment.
Park Shin Hye has been appointed as the honorary ambassador of Korea Food for the Hungry International since 2011.
She also formed a charity group with her fan club in 2012, in order to provide educational support to the children in need.
In 2016, Park Shin Hye joined the organization's Philanthropy Club, with her continuous support for children from low-income families.
