Korean actress Jung Ryeo Won has confirmed to make her comeback with a new drama.
On March 21, it was reported that Jung Ryeo Won will join SBS' Monday-Tuesday drama 'Greasy Melo' (literal title) as the female lead role.
Written by a renowned screenwriter Seo Sook-hyang, 'Greasy Melo' tells the story of a chef who goes from running a high-end Chinese restaurant to a sketchy restaurant that is about to close down.
Jung Ryeo Won will play a character named 'Dan Sae-woo', a daughter of a rich family who enjoys horseback riding and fencing as her hobby.
She undergoes a major shift on her mindset after tasting a bowl of black bean paste noodles at a Chinese restaurant.
The screenwriter wrote multiple mega-hit romantic comedy dramas including 'Pasta' (2010) 'Miss Korea' (2013) and 'Don't Dare to Dream' (2016).
The director of 'Greasy Melo', Park Sun-ho, has also directed hit SBS rom-com 'Suspicious Partner' (2017).
'Greasy Melo' is scheduled to be aired after 'Should We Kiss First' ends in May.
