SEUNGRI's Pride in Korean Food

SEUNGRI from K-pop boy band BIGBANG showed confidence in Korean food from a variety show.

On March 28 episode of tvN's 'Wednesday Food Talk', SEUNGRI joined the show as a special guest.

In the beginning of the show, the hosts of the program made guesses in regard to the day's guest with the photo of his/her supper, and SEUNGRI finally appeared.

SEUNGRI responded to the hosts' comments, "I was listening to your guesses, and you guys seemed to think of somewhere fancy. That's the dining hall of my agency."

When one of the hosts asked SEUNGRI, "Is it like a buffet?", SEUNGRI replied, "Yes, they have set the menu with balanced nutrients. It's for my agency's office workers."

SEUNGRI also exposed his philosophy of food. He said, "I'm Korean, and I am very confident in our food.".He continued, "When someone tells me that Korean food is not good, I take him/her to a fancy, luxurious restaurant of Korean food on the first day and the inexpensive store with ordinary, simple Korean dishes the next day.".SEUNGRI noted with bright smiles, "It's like the concept of 'high and low'.".

His pride in Korean food didn't stop. SEUNGRI also made a connection between himself and the Korean dish of octopus.

When the casts of the show talked about the dish that has recently garnered attention from the public, SEUNGRI commented, "It's like me from BIGBANG. I'm getting attention in recent days!", and the public burst into laughter from SEUNGRI's witty comments.(Credit= tvN Wednesday Food Talk)
