It turns out that Korean actors Gong Yoo and Gang Dong Won are related.
On April 24, tvN's variety show 'The List 2018' aired an episode which showed how the two top actors are related.Gong Yoo and Gang Dong Won are both from Busan, and became close when they started modeling.
Until 2004, they were not aware that they were related, but Gang Dong Won found out that they were in fact cousins-in-law after speaking to his father one day.
Their grandfathers are best friends, and the two actors' aunt/uncle are married to each other.In 2010, Gong Yoo showed their close relationship by saying, "Gang Dong Won called me to let me know that he was enlisting in the military, but I couldn't even buy a meal for him. I feel bad as his cousin."Meanwhile, Gong Yoo is in the process of reviewing his next project after his hit drama 'Goblin' in the end of 2016, and Gang Dong Won began filming the new Hollywood film 'Tsunami LA' in the beginning of this month.
