Kang Daniel Picks His Favorite Verse From 'Kangaroo'

K-pop boy group Wanna One's Kang Daniel has shared his words regarding the group's first sub-unit project.

On June 3, Wanna One held a press conference for its first world tour 'ONE: THE WORLD' as well as the group's special album '1÷χ=1 (UNDIVIDED)' comeback.

As eleven members of Wanna One will be divided into four different sub-units for the upcoming promotions, the members spoke about how they feel to present different genres of music.
The track 'Kangaroo' by Triple Position (Kang Daniel, Kim Jae Hwan, Park Woo Jin) was produced by ZICO, while Kang Daniel and Park Woo Jin joined him to write the lyrics together.

Kang Daniel said, "My favorite verse from 'Kangaroo' is in verse 2, where I say 'Over pace, over pace'. I'm personally fond of the term 'over pace'."

He continued, "ZICO gave me a lot of ideas, and he once asked me, 'In case of Daniel, there are times when you have difficulty controlling your energy on stage, right?', so I told him that I tend to over pace myself. That's when some lyrics for 'Kangaroo' came up."
He further explained, "Sometimes I feel like time has really just flew by when I either perform in front of my fans or practicing, so I included the phrase in the lyrics as well. I'm very satisfied with the lyrics of 'Kangaroo', as they came out so witty."
Meanwhile, Wanna One is expected to meet domestic fans through its 2-week of music show appearances with the new album's title track 'Light'.
