Ji Suk-jin's Father Passes Away

Korean entertainer Ji Suk-jin's father has passed away.

According to Ji Suk-jin's management agency on June 21, Ji Suk-jin's father passed away and the entertainer is currently at his father's funeral.

Due to his father's sudden passing, Ji Suk-jin canceled all his schedule today, including his two-hour radio show 'The Date with Ji Suk-jin at 2PM' (literal translation).

Instead of Ji Suk-jin, comedienne Kim Shin-young and singer Kim Hyun Chul covered his spot an hour each today.It has been said that Ji Suk-jin's father suffered from a chronic disease for some time.

Many people are feeling sad for him, especially because Ji Suk-jin has publicly shown his love for his father in the past.

For instance, after receiving the grand prize last year at 'SBS Entertainment Awards', Ji Suk-jin said, "My father is unwell at the moment. I feel like I'm fulfilling the duties as a son by winning this award today."Meanwhile, Ji Suk-jin appears on SBS' popular variety show 'Running Man' as a member of the cast every week.
