Girl group BLACKPINK enters Billboard's 200 and Hot 100 charts with the highest ranks ever for a K-pop girl group.
On Billboard's Hot 100 chart dated June 30, BLACKPINK's latest track 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' enters as No. 55.
The only other K-pop girl group to chart on the Hot 100 was Wonder Girls with 'Nobody' at No. 76 back in 2009.
Following Wonder Girls and BTS, BLACKPINK has now officially become the third K-pop group to enter the chart.
BLACKPINK's mini album 'SQUARE UP' also enters the Billboard 200 chart at No. 40 on the same day.
The album also takes No. 1 on Billboard's World Albums chart, which is BLACKPINK's first No. 1 on the chart.
Moreover, BLACKPINK debuts at No. 1 on Billboard's Emerging Artists chart, becoming the first K-pop girl group to do so after boy group NCT.
Congratulations, BLACKPINK and BLINK!
