J.Y.Park, the head producer of JYP Entertainment, mentioned his plan to launch a new girl group soon.
Recently, J.Y.Park spoke at an investment briefing 'Demoday 11', which was held at COEX Auditorium, Seoul.
On this day, J.Y.Park revealed that he is working on launching a new girl group at the moment.J.Y.Park said, "The new girl group will consist of only Japanese members. To help you understand better, it will be like JYP Entertainment's current girl group TWICE, but the members will all be Japanese. The new girl group will be different from TWICE, though."
He added, "JYP Entertainment has been preparing this group for a long time. We're expecting the group to debut at the end of next year or 2020."The public as well as people in the industry are paying attention to his remark, because it is the first time that he mentioned his plan to launch a new girl group since 2015, when TWICE debuted.Debuted in October 2015, TWICE has established a solid position in the world of K-pop as one of the best girl groups.
Every time TWICE released a song, it had topped music charts not only in Korea, but also in other countries, especially much more frequently in Japan.
