Hollywood actor Ki Hong Lee shared his life stories with the cast of 'Master in the House'.
On September 16 episode of SBS' variety show 'Master in the House', Ki Hong Lee met up with the cast Lee Seung Gi, Yook Sungjae, Yang Se-hyung and Lee Sang Yun in Los Angeles.
When the cast members asked him if his wife was his first love, Ki Hong Lee jokingly answered, "Well, my first love was basketball," and made everyone burst into laughter.
He explained, "I was friends with my wife since elementary school, and we ended up reuniting after college, started dating, and got married. She'd known me since I was very young, so I knew she genuinely liked me for who I was and not because of my fame after 'Maze Runner'."
Then Ki Hong Lee shared the reason why he decided not to pursue acting career with his Korean name, Ki Hong.
He said, "It is the name my parents gave me. I think that changing your name to an English one after immigrating to the States is like losing a part of yourself, but of course, I don't think it's a bad thing to do so."
He added, "I thought that if I work hard while using my Korean name and become successful, then people would call me by my name even if it's hard to pronounce."
When asked about how he got his role 'Minho' in film series 'Maze Runner', Lee said, "It was really hard. I met casting directors and got rejected so many times. Then a casting director told me to audition for the leading role in 'Maze Runner'. I didn't event think that I would be able to get the role, but he just saw it in me."
Meanwhile, Ki Hong Lee has recently confirmed to join Korean drama 'Prometheus' with the role of a CIA agent 'Frank Lee'.
