K-pop boy group BTS has been invited to attend the 73rd General Assembly of the United Nations.
According to reports on September 19, BTS will be attending UNICEF(United Nations Children's Fund)'s 'Generation Unlimited' partnership event that will take place on September 24 at 12PM local time.
BTS is scheduled give a speech in front of high officials including United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore, the South Korean first lady Kim Jung-sook, and more.
This is the first time a K-pop act has been invited to the UN Headquarters during its General Assembly.
'Generation Limited' is UN's new global partnership that aims to increase opportunities and investments for children and youths aged 10 to 24.
BTS has been actively promoting as the ambassador of UNICEF's 'LOVE MYSELF' campaign for the past two years.
The group has been working with UNICEF to fundraise and support the organization's '#ENDviolence' campaign to ensure children and teenagers' violence-free life worldwide.
Meanwhile, BTS is currently busy greeting its fans in North America through its world tour 'LOVE YOURSELF'.
