Korean actor Lee Joon Gi talked about his pre-debut and early-debut days on a variety show.
On October 27 episode of JTBC's 'Knowing Brothers', Lee Joon Gi talked about the auditions that he had attended in the past.
Lee Joon Gi said, "When I failed auditions in the past, most of the casting directors would tell me that I didn't have the 'look' to be the lead. At that time, all leads of dramas and movies had rounded and large eyes, which wasn't me."He went on, "They told me to take the role of those characters with great skills in battling using swords. Their words made me want to succeed even more. Well, thanks to them, I was able to become good at action scenes." While on the topic, HeeChul from K-pop boy group Super Junior asked, "Have you ever auditioned to become a K-pop star?"
Lee Joon Gi laughed and answered, "I have, because I liked singing and dancing. I actually have auditioned for SM Entertainment."He continued, "You know SM Entertainment holds an audition every Saturday, right?"
HeeChul responded full of excitement, "Yeah, I got into SM Entertainment through that!"
Lee Joon Gi commented, "I came all the way to Seoul from Changwon just to attend that audition, but I failed to make it through." Meanwhile, Lee Joon Gi is in the process of reviewing his next project after wrapping up his last drama 'Lawless Lawyer' in July.
