K-pop sensation BTS broke legendary English boy band The Beatles' record on Billboard 200 chart.
According to Billboard on April 28 (local time), BTS' latest release 'MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA' came in at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart for this week.
A week earlier, the album debuted on the main album chart at #1, scoring BTS' third chart-topping album within a year.
This record makes BTS the first band since The Beatles to win three #1s on Billboard 200 within a span of less than 11 months.
It took 11 months for The Beatles to hold the record while BTS beat it with 10 months and 3 weeks.
The album's title track 'Boy With Luv' ranked #8 on Billboard's single chart Hot 100, the highest record ever for BTS climbed on the chart.
Meanwhile, BTS is competing in two categories―Top Duo/Group and Top Social Artist―at the '2018 Billboard Music Awards' which will be held on May 1 (local time) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
