"I've Never Done Illicit Drugs" Actor Lee Sang-bo to File Lawsuit Against False Reports

Actor Lee Sang-bo shared his intentions to sue the reporters who spread false information regarding his alleged drug use.

According to YTN's exclusive interview with Lee Sang-bo on September 14, the actor was revealed to have been consuming antidepressants, instead of illegal drugs.
During the interview, Lee Sang-bo explained that his depression has become more severe since 2009, when his father passed away and when his mother and younger sister died in an accident.

Lee Sang-bo said, "I have never done drugs even once, and I don't have any relations to someone who does drugs. I have never, ever done drugs. The medicine that I'm currently taking is for my psychological stability."

The actor also showed a diagnosis report from the hospital, that he has been dealing with severe depression and consuming antidepressants regularly since 2019.

He argued that the positive result for the drug test came out due to the substances in antidepressants that he has been taking.
By the end of his interview, Lee Sang-bo firmly stated that he plans to take legal action against the reporters who falsely spread the news of his illicit drug use without confirming the basic facts.

He said, "I suddenly woke up to the news of me being portrayed as a drug addict. People are obsessed with lies, and have no interest in what the truth really is. I don't know how long my life will last, but I will fight until the end."

Meanwhile, the police will conduct further tests on the antidepressants that Lee Sang-bo has been consuming, with the National Forensic Service.
