Some staff members of singer IU's recent concert are under heavy criticism for re-selling staff T-shirts at high prices to fans.
On September 17 and 18, IU held her concert 'The Golden Hour' at Jamsil Olympic Stadium, Seoul.
As the stadium is known to be the biggest performance venue of South Korea, the concert required a great number of staff members as well.
According to IU's agency, around 90 performers appeared on stage with IU, with approximately 1,400 staff members gathered to prepare for the 2-day event.
In order to distinguish the staff members from the audiences, a custom-made T-shirt was given to all staff members.
After the concert's success, the T-shirts were suddenly being re-sold in multiple online resale platforms.
Considering the 'limited edition' aspect of the T-shirts, they sold the T-shirts at high prices; around 150,000 won to 200,000 won (approximately 105 to 150 dollars).
In order to fix this unexpected situation, some fans requested IU's management agency, EDAM Entertainment, to make the T-shirt as an official merchandise so that they can purchase it at a right price.
