Actress Nana, also a member of K-pop girl group After School, shared that her much talked-about tattoos are real, and she got them done because she wanted to.
Back on September 20, Nana attended a press conference for her upcoming movie 'Confession'.
At that time, Nana wore a short sleeveless black dress, and made a lot of people gasp in surprise with her tattoos that were seen all over the body.
Since she had no tattoos before, but they were suddenly so many of them, lots of people wondered whether they were just henna tattoos for her role or actually real.
Then on September 27 at another press conference for her new Netflix series 'Glitch', Nana spoke about her tattoos that have been the one of the hottest topic on the Internet for the last past week.
During the press conference, Nana said, "My character in 'Glitch' 'Heo Bo-ra' is someone who studies about mysterious phenomena. The production team built the base of 'Heo Bo-ra' for me, and I gave some ideas on her personality and appearance afterwards. We discussed those ideas together and implemented them when we all agreed."
She continued, "I especially gave more ideas on the colors of her clothes and tattoos on her body. She's a character with various tattoos, and I wanted each of her tattoo to have a meaning. So, I carefully chose each design."
Then, one reporter asked whether her 'Glitch' character got her to get tattoos.
Nana answered, "'Heo Bo-ra' wasn't the reason why I became interested in tattoos. I got these tattoos done, because I wanted to get them."
She added, "Maybe one day, I would be able to tell the world why I got them done. I don't know if the day will come, but... It was my personal choice to get these tattoos done."
