On October 13, Kangnam updated his YouTube channel with a new video.
The video showed Kangnam visiting a town in Japan where he lived when he was in middle school.
While walking by his middle school, Kangnam said, "When I was in middle school, my house was broken into. My parents were panicking so much, because all the cash at home was gone. I really wanted to catch the burglar, so I started investigating into it. About a month had passed, and my friend said something to me that I thought was very suspicious."
He continued, "He was like, 'My classmate said he wants to go on a trip with me. He gave me 10,000 yen (approximately 68 dollars) for the trip.' That's pretty weird, isn't it? 10,000 yen is 100,000 won. That's big money, especially for a middle school student. And he gave him 10,000 yen just because he wants to travel together? It didn't sound right."
Kangnam stated, "My friends and I went up to that 'classmate' together, and asked him some pointed questions. In the end, he confessed that he was the one who broke into my house. It turned out the 'classmate' stole the key to my house when I was getting changed for a gym class."
He wrapped up the story by saying, "But the thing is, his dad was a cop. That 'classmate' got beaten up so hard right in front of me. I became a hero after that day."
Under this video of Kangnam telling this unbelievable story, many left comments such as, "What? I can't believe a middle school student had the guts to rob a HOUSE!", "That's good that his dad knew what his son did was wrong. Some parents only try to cover for their children, you know.", "This is crazy. Kangnam's done a good job for sure." and so on.
