VIDEO: LE SSERAFIM SAKURA Says Hate Comments Do Not Bother Her Anymore
SAKURA of K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM shared that she is no longer bothered by malicious comments.

On October 19 episode of entertainer Kang Ho-dong's audio show 'Just Come Out' (literal translation), SAKURA made a guest appearance.

During their conversation, Kang Ho-dong mentioned SAKURA joining Mnet's survival audition show 'Produce 48' in 2018.

SAKURA said, "Ah yes, I was scared to join the show, but I decided to try it because trying something is the only way to gain things in life. I was like, 'Let's try it. I'm going to Korea!'"

She continued, "But I received so many hate comments back then. A lot of different kinds of people watched the show that they all thought differently about me. Imagine their comments... Yeah..."
SAKURASAKURAKang Ho-dong responded, "At that time, this was what you said in an interview, 'I'm too scared about getting hate comments that I wish they don't give me any parts to sing or dance.'"

SAKURA explained, "There were an unbelievable number of comments saying that I wasn't good at singing. After reading them, I couldn't even enter a recording studio. I was scared that I would get the same type of comments again."

She carried on explaining, "This was what I thought to myself, 'Since I wasn't good enough, it would be better for our team if there was no part given to me.' But at the same time, I thought, 'I wouldn't have received those comments if I was actually good.' So, I practiced and practiced after I entered my current agency. I don't believe that I'm talented. I only have talent to practice hard."

She added, "In the past, I used to get hurt when I read negative comments about me. I used to have a really hard time because of that. Nowadays though, I don't let them get to me. I simply don't care about them, unless they bring up something that I've actually done wrong."

The K-pop star wrapped up the topic by stating, "They always tend to see me the way they want to see me, so I just think like, 'So what?' I don't let them get to me."

SAKURA initially made debut as a member IZ*ONE in October 2018, after getting the second most votes out of the contestants on 'Produce 48'.

Then, she debuted again as part of LE SSERAFIM in May this year.
