"He Initially Didn't Want to Date Anyone" GUMMY Details Start of Romance with Cho Jung Seok

Singer GUMMY detailed the beginning of her relationship with her husband actor Cho Jung Seok. 

On November 28 episode of SBS' television show 'Four Men', GUMMY joined 'Four Men' members for a talk. 

While talking together, the members of 'Four Men' asked her to tell them a little more about her romance with Cho Jung Seok. 

Shyly saying that it is her first time talking about this on air, GUMMY began telling her love story with Cho Jung Seok, "We happened to meet during the time when Jung Seok had decided that he was going to avoid being in a relationship."

She laughingly continued, "The weird thing was though, he did say that he wanted to stay away from dating, but he messaged me time to time. Then, one day, he invited me to this work-related event, where all the members of his film production team were present. It was at that event I totally fell for him."  
When asked what in particular made her fall in love with him, GUMMY responded, "I like manly guys. Before I went to that event, he just seemed like a sweet and caring guy who was more feminine than masculine, I would say. But at the event, I saw a whole new side of him. It turned out I was wrong about him; he was a really manly guy." 

To this, Tak Jae Hoon playfully went, "Oh, the whole thing was probably part of his elaborate plan. You simply fell for that!" which made GUMMY burst into laughter. 
Then, the other members asked, "Who asked who out first?" and GUMMY answered, "Well, I knew how I felt. But I didn't know how he felt about me. He said that he wasn't going to date anyone, but he would always turn up to gatherings that I was at. He was being very vague, so I thought I should just tell him how I felt. I asked to meet up, and he asked me out that night. He went before me." 

About what changed Cho Jung Seok's mind about dating, GUMMY laughed and stated, "He later told me that I really matched his type. But since he had 'no dating rule', he tried to stop himself from meeting me. But apparently failed every time." 
Following five years of their relationship, GUMMY and Cho Jung Seok married each other in October 2018.

GUMMY gave birth to their first child―daughter―in August 2020.
