On November 20, Shin Ye Eun sat down with the press for an interview to discuss her recently concluded series "Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born."
Set in the aftermath of the Korean War in the 1950s, "Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born" tells the story of Jeong-nyeon (Kim Tae Ri), a natural-born vocal talent striving to become the nation's top female theatrical performer.
In the drama, Shin Ye Eun played Young-seo, a rival to Jeong-nyeon. Her character excels in singing, dancing, and acting, with an impressive background to match.

She said, "When I look at her face, I think, 'She really looks like an actor. I'm so jealous. Her face carries so much.' But beyond that, she puts in an incredible amount of effort. It feels like she's constantly thinking, practicing, even while eating."
She went on to say, "Through this project, I quickly understood why she is so skilled and successful. I admired her before, but now I admire her even more. Her confidence and courage to charge forward reminded me of Jeong-nyeon, and I found it inspiring. I wanted to emulate her mindset of 'let's just go for it first.'"
Shin Ye Eun also shared her deep connection with Kim Tae Ri, saying with a smile, "We had many serious conversations, and I often turned to her during tough times."

Reflecting on the show's success, Shin Ye Eun said, "I approached this project with the mindset of giving my all and accepting any outcome. I wasn't overly focused on buzz or ratings, but I'm truly grateful for the positive results."
