On November 26, news outlet YTN exclusively reported that Lee Dong Hwi and Jung Hoyeon recently broke up.
The two, who used to be a beloved couple in the entertainment industry, have gone their separate ways and have been dealing with busy schedules, according to the report.
Soon after the report, Jung Hoyeon's agency, SARAM Entertainment, officially confirmed their breakup.
"It is true that Jung Hoyeon and Lee Dong Hwi broke up. The two decided to stay as good colleagues.", the agency said.
Lee Dong Hwi's agency, COMPANY ON, also confirmed the news of their breakup.
During a press interview back when Jung Hoyeon rose to international stardom with Netflix's original series 'Squid Game' (2021), the actress shared that her boyfriend is proud of her success.
Lee Dong Hwi recently mentioned Jung Hoyeon as his "girlfriend and best friend" when he appeared on ENA's August-aired television show 'Kwak Taxi Trip 2'.

The actor is set to meet with viewers through tvN's upcoming television show 'Rented in Finland', and will be appearing in the play 'The Lives of Others', which opens on November 27.
Jung Hoyeon recently made a successful debut in Hollywood with Apple TV+'s television series 'Disclaimer', which premiered last month.
Jung Hoyeon played 'Kim Jisoo', the assistant to the main character, 'Catherine Ravenscroft', played by Australian actress Cate Blanchett.
Despite their breakup, Lee Dong Hwi and Jung Hoyeon still follow each other on Instagram.
