On the November 26 episode of the YouTube show 'Salon Drip 2', actor/director Kim Hee Won, Um Tae Goo, and Seolhyun guested to discuss their project, Disney+'s upcoming television series 'Light Shop'.
During their chat, Um Tae Goo's famous shyness became the topic of conversation.
"I heard that you tend to be shy around someone you met for the first time. Does it help to relax your shyness if you get to know the person better? If so, how long does it usually take?", the host, comedian Jang Do-yeon asked Um Tae Goo.
"It would depend on the person.", Um Tae Goo replied before sharing what it was like when he worked with Seolhyun for the first time.
"Yes, we have not exchanged more than five sentences while filming together for over a year. And those sentences were mostly something like, 'Great job today.'.", Seolhyun revealed, bursting into laughter.
However, Um Tae Goo and Seolhyun said they became much closer while filming 'Light Shop'.
"We talked a lot more this time, even about personal matters.", the two shared.
"Wait, am I the only one who feels that way?", she asked Um Tae Goo, who was quietly giggling.
"No, that's great. A soulmate.", Um Tae Goo responded with laughter before explaining the story behind it.
"People kept asking why Seolhyun and I talked so little while we claimed to be close. We started responding, 'No, we are best friends. We are each other's soulmate.'. That's how the 'soulmate' thing started.", he explained.
"When there's only two of you, what do you guys usually talk about with each other?", Jang Do-yeon asked.
"We talk about travel and puppies, too, since we both have pet dogs. We also talk about workout routines and stuff.", Seolhyun shared.
