SLEEPY Says RM Essentially Covered the Cost of His Newlywed Home's Master Bedroom

Hip-hop artist SLEEPY revealed that RM from K-pop group BTS essentially covered the cost of the master bedroom in his newlywed home.

On December 2 episode of SBS' television show "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny," SLEEPY made a guest appearance. 

During the opening, the host Kim Gu-ra referred to SLEEPY as "the ultimate 'penniless' celebrity"

SLEEPY reflected on the challenging times when he was unable to receive any payments from his former agency.

He shared, "For 10 years, I didn't get paid at all, so my income was zero won. At the time, my phone service was cut off, so I couldn't even properly contact producers and writers." 

He added, "I eventually won the lawsuit against my agency after six years, but the agency had gone bankrupt, so I received nothing. Even though I paid all the legal fees myself, I was able to restore my reputation." 
During the show, SLEEPY revealed his newlywed home, and when showing the hosts the master bedroom, he said, "You could say RM paid for everything in our master bedroom." 

He explained, "RM gave me a very generous wedding gift—a large sum of 10 million won (approximately 7,000 dollars)." 

When asked how he and RM knew each other, SLEEPY noted, "When RM was in middle school, I recognized his talent, got his contact information, and connected him with his current agency," making the hosts gasp in surprise.  

SLEEPY also mentioned another celebrity, DIN DIN, who provided most of the necessary electronics for the house, saying, "DIN DIN bought us a refrigerator and styler steam closet." 

The hip-hop artist resumed, "He also gave us things he no longer used, like a microwave, speakers, and air purifier. He told me to let him know if there was anything else I needed, and I frequently went to pick things up from him." 
SLEEPY married his non-celebrity girlfriend in 2022. They have one daughter together, and his wife is expecting their second child, a son.
