Actor Park Sung Hoon is facing controversy after posting an adult film cover featuring fully nude women on his Instagram.
On December 30, a screenshot of Park Sung Hoon's Instagram Story began circulating online.
The post included a poster for an adult film styled after the Netflix's series "Squid Game."
The poster featured multiple images of nude women, some posing provocatively in highly suggestive ways, with elements inspired by "Squid Game" outfits.
Although he swiftly deleted the Story, many of his followers had already seen it.
As the incident became a hot topic online, Park Sung Hoon's agency, BH Entertainment, issued a statement, "Amid the flood of direct messages on Park Sung Hoon's Instagram, he accidentally pressed the wrong button while checking messages, which led to the image being uploaded."
The agency added, "The actor himself was shocked and quickly removed the post. However, he is deeply sorry for making such a mistake. We will ensure that this does not happen again by exercising greater caution."
However, multiple checks on Instagram showed that it is not possible to accidentally share a received message to one's Story with a single button press.
Even if the Story was shared through a tag, the original poster's information would have been visible, further casting doubt on the agency's explanation.
The exact details are unclear, but many believe he meant to upload the Story to his private account and accidentally posted it on his main one.
As a result, he is facing heavy criticism at the moment, and many are saying that they are disappointed in him.
Park Sung Hoon recently gained recognition for his role as Hyun-joo in "Squid Game 2," which premiered on December 26.
