Lee Yi Kyung Gives a Shout-Out to His Ex-Girlfriend Jung In-sun During an Awards Ceremony

Actor Lee Yi Kyung is making headlines for giving a shout-out to his ex-girlfriend, actress Jung In-sun, during an awards ceremony.

On December 28, an annual awards ceremony "2024 SEOULCon APAN Star Awards" held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul. 

On this day, Lee Yi Kyung received the Best Male Actor Award in a Mid-Length Drama for his role in tvN's series "Marry My Husband."
While on stage, Lee Yi Kyung said, "The most common way for actors to meet is through working on projects together. But even if we don’t get to work together, there are always awards ceremonies. And it's always a special moment to meet other actors at awards ceremonies."

He playfully added, "I truly thought I would never meet Jung In-sun again, so I really want to thank the judges for bringing us together tonight," and then said, "Jung In-sun, congratulations on your award."

To this, Jung In-sun responded with a big smile. Earlier on this day, she also received the Best Female Actor Award in the Short Film/Web Drama category for her role in tvN's series "Grand Shining Hotel (O'PENing)." 
Lee Yi Kyung continued, "I'm thankful to all the cast and crew of 'Marry My Husband.' This award is even more meaningful because many people recognized me for my acting, even though I've mostly been active in television shows. It's also special because I received this award for playing a villain." 

He went on, "If anyone's thinking, 'Him? Seriously? Why did he win this award?', I hope you'll watch our drama first."
 
Lee Yi Kyung and Jung In-sun met through a mutual acquaintance in 2017 and dated for about a year. 

The following year, they even appeared together in JTBC's series "Welcome to Waikiki," but broke up just a month and a half after going public with their relationship.
