"It Perfectly Fits This Stage of Life" '55' Uhm Junghwa Expresses Her Hopes for Marriage

55-year-old singer Uhm Junghwa has expressed her hopes for marriage.

On January 8, Uhm Junghwa invited K-pop duo DAVICHI to her YouTube talk show "And-ing." 

During their conversation, Uhm Junghwa shared how much she loves DAVICHI's music, saying, "All your songs feel timeless. I keep listening to them. I think I always turn to your songs when I want to feel a bit emotional or romantic." 

As she listened to DAVICHI's songs, Uhm Junghwa asked Lee Hae Ri, who recently got married, "I have so many questions I want to ask you, but most of all, how is it being married? Is it nice?"

Lee Hae Ri replied confidently, "It's amazing, unnie." Hearing this, Uhm Junghwa smiled and said, "Awww! I want to get married too."

Kang Min Kyung then told Uhm Junghwa, "Hae Ri is basically a spokesperson for marriage. I think it's partly because she met such a great partner, but it also seems like the whole concept of marriage really suits her."
When Uhm Junghwa asked Kang Min Kyung, "What about you, Min Kyung? Do you want to get married?" she replied, "If I meet the right person, definitely. But for now, I’m not seeing anyone."

In response, Uhm Junghwa playfully questioned, "How can we believe you're not dating anyone right now?" 

Kang Min Kyung playfully winked at the camera and said, "Celebrities live for mystery," adding with a laugh.
Last month, during a conversation with singer Baek Z Young on "And-ing," Uhm Junghwa said, "I feel like marriage perfectly fits this stage of life. It's about comfort and companionship, like being with a close friend. It's a separate matter from having children. That's why I think it's a good time now. Plus, people are living longer these days, aren't they?" 

When Baek Z Young said, "If you ever get married, let me sing at your wedding," Uhm Junghwa smiled and replied, "I'd love that," showing her enthusiasm for the idea of marriage.
