On January 9, Yim Siwan sat down with a news outlet to discuss Netflix's original series 'Squid Game 2' at a café in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
Yim Siwan was asked in the interview whether he had past interactions with BIGBANG members during his ZE:A days.
"BIGBANG was the celebrity of celebrities back then. We had little opportunity to meet BIGBANG since music shows had separate waiting rooms for each group."
"Back then, their names were so big that hallway encounters with them used to be 'the' topic. Whenever the BIGBANG members passed, there were whispers like, 'I think he glanced at me.'."
"I remember our member Hwang Kwang Hee saying, 'You know what? I think BIGBANG just checked your outfits.'.", Yim Siwan remarked.
'Lee Myung-gi' participates in the deadly game contest Squid Game after incurring huge financial losses for his subscribers as the crypto coin he encouraged to invest in turned out to be a fraud.
In Squid Game, 'Lee Myung-gi' encounters 'Thanos' (T.O.P), who holds grudges against 'Lee Myung-gi' as one of his subscribers who had lost a fortune because of him.
"While frantically filming an action scene, we both tripped, and our bodies flew; T.O.P ended up breaking his rib."
"I know how much it hurts because I had my rib broken before. We could have stopped there since T.O.P couldn't even fully breathe. However, he kept going on despite the injury. I was impressed with his professionalism, which I can only guess he acquired through his extraordinary career.", Yim Siwan remarked.
"The only thing I'd like to add is that if I were the one who played 'Thanos', I think I couldn't have done it better than he did.", the actor said.
