The 275th episode of tvN's talk show "You Quiz on the Block," aired on January 8, featured Song Hye Kyo as a guest. It marked her first talk show appearance in 23 years.
Song Hye Kyo expressed her feelings about being the first guest of the new year, saying, "It's truly been a long time since I've been on a talk show, and it's an honor to greet everyone at the start of the year.
Yu Jae Seok started the conversation by saying, "I heard this is your first time meeting Cho Sae-ho," and Song Hye Kyo nodded in agreement.
Cho Sae-ho commented, "Yeah, I've only ever seen Song Hye Kyo on TV before today. We've never even run into each other at an awards ceremony."
It was revealed that as soon as Song Hye Kyo met Cho Sae-ho, she said, "Hi, congratulations on your marriage. I know it's a bit late, but this is just a small gift. Nothing big."
Yu Jae Seok was astonished, saying, "She gave you a gift even though she wasn't invited to the wedding?" To which Cho Sae-ho jokingly replied, "I'm sorry. I didn't reach out because I was worried it might be too rude to do so."
She individually wrapped the items, packed them in paper bags, and handed them out personally.
Her thoughtful gestures toward those around her left many commenting that it is no wonder she has remained a top star for so long.
