On January 21, Song Hye Kyo had an interview about her upcoming movie 'Dark Nuns' at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, in Seoul.
The supernatural thriller 'Dark Nuns' centers on two nuns, 'Junia' (Song Hye Kyo) and 'Michaela' (actress Jeon Yeo Been), attempting to save a young boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit.

"I found the character 'Junia' so admirable because she is a strong woman who makes highly courageous decisions, which is something I could never do."
"She is a nun, but nuns are human too. I don't think I'd ever be brave enough to make a big decision like she does in the film. I found her ability to do that appealing and admirable.", the actress remarked.

About her decision, the actress said, "This is my second project with a specific genre outside of romance. Before, I was usually on melodramas."
"There are various types of love and different kinds of hurt that come from love. Still, it ultimately boils down to one major plot involving two people's love and their split."

"It seems that I don't enjoy it anymore. And since I, the one who's playing the role, don't enjoy it, viewers obviously would find it unenjoyable to watch. Working on 'The Glory' felt like a whole different experience."
"Not that I was never offered projects with different genres before 'The Glory'. But since most of my successful projects were melodramas, I was offered a lot of scripts of a similar nature."
"I might have turned down a few projects with different genres I was occasionally offered. That was because the script didn't appeal to me. It's important for me to find the script interesting when choosing a project.", the actress explained.
