"I Got Some of His Genes" Choo Young Woo Talks About His '90s Top Model Father

Actor Choo Young Woo talked about his model father. 

On the latest episode of the popular YouTube show "Jewel Box," which was premiered on February 4, Choo Young Woo sat down with the show's host, entertainer Hong Seok-chun, the very first homosexual to come out on air in Korea. 

The moment Hong Seok-chun saw Choo Young Woo, he could not stop complimenting his good looks.

"So, were you popular growing up?" Hong Seok-chun asked as Choo Young Woo sat down. 

Choo Young Woo smiled shyly and admitted, "I kind of was, yes." 

Hong Seok-chun then commented, "Your parents must be gorgeous. I heard your dad was a top model." 

Choo Young Woo nodded and said, "Yeah, I think I got some of my dad's model genes." 
At that point, Hong Seok-chun turned to the camera and said, "Hope you're doing well," hinting that he had met Choo Young Woo's father before.

He then told Choo Young Woo, "I was seriously shocked when I found out I knew your dad. He used to walk in a ton of fashion shows back in the day. He was so handsome. He had such striking features that I often wondered, 'Is he even Korean?'" 

Laughing, he joked, "Good thing I held back and didn't make a move on him back then." 

Choo Young Woo quickly responded, "Oh wow, good thing you didn't. Otherwise, I might not have been born," making Hong Seok-chun laugh.

After this video was released, it was revealed that Choo Young Woo's father is Choo Seung-il, a popular model who was active in the '90s.
