VIDEO: JISOO & Jung Hoyeon Share How They Became Friends

JISOO of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK and model-turned-actress Jung Hoyeon shared how they became close. 

On February 5, JISOO and Jung Hoyeon appeared on the YouTube show "SELF-ON KODE."

"SELF-ON KODE" is a show where two stars chat through text messages while separated by a partition, unable to see each other. 

They get to know each other through conversation and try to guess who the other person is before the big reveal. 
In this episode, JISOO and Jung Hoyeon were also seen asking each other all kinds of questions over text, trying to figure out each other's identity.

Jung Hoyeon mentioned that she is into gaming and casually dropped, "My character was actually released in PUBG: Battlegrounds once." Hearing this, JISOO quietly turned to the camera and whispered, "Me too."

When JISOO heard that the other person played games while waiting around during work, she guessed, "You must be an actress. Having that much time waiting around sounds like an actress thing." 

Jung Hoyeon, caught off guard, quickly clarified, "Oh, but I wasn't talking about a film set. There are other jobs in this industry where you have to wait around a lot." She then explained that models also spend a lot of time waiting between shoots.

When Jung Hoyeon found out the other person was has their own business, she guessed it might be K-pop artist SOMI, saying, "This person has a type of energy I've felt before."

While Jung Hoyeon guessed wrong, JISOO figured out it was her after seeing one of her childhood photos at the end.
Later, when JISOO and Jung Hoyeon finally revealed their identities to each other, they both screamed and yelled, "We were literally texting today!"

Jung Hoyeon said in shock, "I was not expecting JISOO to be here. And she even showed up today looking like a princess. She's nothing like the JISOO I see at Pilates!" 

Talking about how they became friends, JISOO shared, "We have so many mutual friends, so we'd always end up at the same places. We also do Pilates together." 

Jung Hoyeon recalled a funny memory, saying, "BLACKPINK was holding a concert in LA, and I went to see it, but I got really drunk. We weren't close at the time, but I was so drunk that I started acting super friendly, saying, 'Oh my! JISOO! You were amazing!' I was just having so much fun, full of energy, you know. After that, we started meeting up whenever we had time and naturally became friends."
