Photography Studio that Posted Ok Taec Yeon & His Girlfriend's 'Proposal' Photos Apologizes

K-pop boy group 2PM's member Ok Taec Yeon was caught up in marriage rumors after romantic photos with his girlfriend in Paris surfaced, leading to speculation he later denied, while the photography studio issued an apology amid the controversy.

On February 6, the photography studio that took and uploaded online Ok Taec Yeon and his girlfriend's Paris photos apologized on their Instagram, stating that they had no intention of exposing details about his personal life.
The photography studio started by saying, "Until yesterday, we had no idea he was a major Korean celebrity. They booked the session like any other client, and our interactions were no different from those with regular customers. There was also no request for the photos to remain unpublished. That is why we posted the photos as we always do with our clients, with no intention of exposing them or gaining visibility for it, so much so that the photos were public since April 2024." 

They continued, "When the photos were published, we did not mention his name in any way, it was just a sequence of photos that we innocently found beautiful and inspiring. We have already apologized to Taec Yeon and his girlfriend privately, and we now sincerely extend our public apology. There was never any intention to expose their relationship or his girlfriend's face. As soon as we realized what was happening, we immediately archived the photos, but some had already been shared by others. We have never shared these photos with anyone and will not do so. Please respect this and do not insist." 
"We are honest professionals who welcome couples from all over the world every day and have photographed more than 7,000 people in Paris since 2019. Our photographers provide services in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French, so our clients can come from anywhere in the world. It is impossible to know that the person in front of us is someone famous in their home country without them telling us. It was simply an unusual and innocent misunderstanding—we didn't know who they were. We are truly sorry for that, they said." 

The photography studio concluded, "We sincerely apologize to the public and their families for this unintentional exposure. We hope everything turns out well."
On February 5, a series of romantic photos of Ok Taec Yeon and his 5-year non-celebrity girlfriend in front of the Eiffel Tower began circulating online.

In the photos, Ok Taec Yeon was seen kneeling and presenting a ring, sparking speculation that he was proposing and fueling marriage rumors.

However, his agency later confirmed that the photos were actually taken in April of last year to celebrate his girlfriend's birthday, not during a marriage proposal.
