"I Hope to Build a Happy Home With DJ Koo" Late Star Barbie Hsu's Interview Gets Revisited

Following the sudden passing of Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, many are revisiting her past interview with her loving husband, DJ Koo of dance music duo Clon.

The recent news of Barbie Hsu's sudden passing at the age of 48 saddened many; according to reports, she died of complications from pneumonia on February 2 during her vacation in Japan.

Amid ongoing grief over her death, fans are revisiting a heartfelt video interview featuring the late actress and her beloved.

In October 2022, a Taiwanese fashion magazine posted a video of Barbie Hsu and DJ Koo answering questions about themselves on its YouTube channel.

When asked who had a better personality, the two each pointed at DJ Koo and laughed out loud.

"He's a wonderful person. I've never seen him getting angry.", Barbie Hsu affectionately remarked.
When asked about the number of tattoos on Barbie Hsu's body, DJ Koo replied, "There are nine."

"You missed one.", the actress said, pointing at her left thigh; she mentioned that her husband had personally inked the tattoo for her.

Barbie Hsu then related the story behind the tattoo, beginning with how DJ Koo purchased a tattooing machine.

"He bought the machine because he and I wanted to tattoo our ring fingers as our wedding bands.", she remembered.

"I had this red scar on my thigh for a long time, which I always found unappealing. My husband covered it up for me with a tattoo of a tiny human figure."

"He always tries on himself first before tattooing on my body to see if it looks good.", Barbie Hsu said with a bright smile.
In the interview, Barbie Hsu shared that the most touching moment that DJ Koo had presented to her was their reunion after twenty years.

"After we promised to marry each other over the phone, he packed all his belongings and came to Taiwan for me."

"It was during the COVID-19 pandemic, so he had to self-quarantine for the first ten days in Taiwan. When we finally reunited, the moment was beyond touching. We held each other and cried our eyes out.", she joyfully recalled.

DJ Koo noted, "It felt similar to our first meeting two decades ago. It felt like I was seeing her after a month, not twenty years."
At the end of the video, the couple was asked to share the hope they would like to achieve together and the challenge they would like to accomplish together.

The two both answered, "Building a happy home.", smiling happily.

DJ Koo and Barbie Hsu first met in 1998 and developed a romantic connection; however, their relationship ended after a year of dating.

The two went separate ways, and Barbie Hsu married Chinese entrepreneur Wang Xiaofei in 2011.

When Barbie Hsu and Wang Xiaofei divorced in 2021, DJ Koo reached out to her.

Reviving their romance that appeared to have ended two decades ago, the two tied the knot in March 2022.
