On February 9, Park Bo Young guested on singer Jung Jae-hyung's YouTube show.
In discussing her recent project, Disney+'s original series 'Light Shop', Park Bo Young mentioned her bond with the director, Kim Hee Won.
"We've been close for a long time.", the actress said, adding, "In fact, so close that there have been dating rumors about us."
"After the rumors linked us romantically together, Kim Hee Won felt so bad about it that he cut off all contact with me for a year.", she remembered.
"He was like, 'I feel terribly sorry for what happened.', and then just stopped contacting altogether!"
"People already knew how close we were; I didn't see any point in keeping distance. I told him that he should reach out to me without caring.", she remarked.
Park Bo Young said she and Kim Hee Won hung out that day and enjoyed their usual course: sharing a meal and sipping tea.
"He doesn't drinks alcohol, not even a drop. We enjoy going on a café tour when we hang out, usually visiting three different spots.", Park Bo Young shared with a smile.
"Once back then, the three of us chatted over coffee until five in the morning.", the actress fondly reminisced.
Park Bo Young talked more about her friendship with Kim Hee Won, "Whenever we hang out, we talk about acting a lot."
"He gives me a lot of guidance. We also enjoy discussing our projects and exchanging suggestions on the series we've watched."
"And we vent to each other about our projects' on-set vibe. Kim Hee Won is someone I can confide in about things like, 'This project's filming atmosphere has been giving me a hard time.'."
"That conversation usually ends with us debating who's having a harder time.", Park Bo Young said with a grin.
