Actor Choi Seung-hyun has confirmed that he will not be rejoining the group Big Bang.
Recently, rumors circulated on various online community sites suggesting that Big Bang fans speculated about Choi Seung-hyun's potential return to the group after he updated his social media profile to include the name 'TOP' and his name appeared on Big Bang's official YouTube account.
However, these rumors, fueled by the strong wishes of some Big Bang fans, have been confirmed to be false.
On the 11th, Choi Seung-hyun's representatives clarified the situation regarding the social media profile, stating, "He has been using that name for three years, and there have been no new changes." They emphasized that "as mentioned in a recent interview, his position remains unchanged."
Previously, in an interview related to Netflix's 'Squid Game 2', Choi Seung-hyun expressed, "I am someone who has caused irreparable damage to the team Big Bang, and I hope that the 'label of wrongdoing' does not follow them." He added, "The mistakes I made were too significant, and I feel no shame. It has been too long to return." He reiterated that he will not be rejoining the group.
Choi Seung-hyun faced social backlash in 2016 due to marijuana use, leading to a long period of self-reflection, after which he left Big Bang. He made his acting comeback with 'Squid Game 2', which was released at the end of last year.
