"FC Gaebengers Returns from Hell"… League Comeback After 14 Months on 'Kick a Goal'
Kick a GoalAfter a break following their release from the Challenge League, 'FC Gaebengers' is making a comeback on SBS's 'Kick a Goal.'

In the episode airing on the 12th, the fourth match of Group A in the G League will feature a showdown between 'FC Bulnabi,' looking to break their three-game losing streak, and 'FC Gaebengers,' returning to the regular league after 14 months.

With both teams led by the renowned coaches Choi Jin-cheol and Choi Sung-yong, a fierce competition is expected. Notably, Choi Sung-yong, who was once the top coach in terms of win percentage, is now at the helm of 'Gaebengers,' drawing even more attention to how he has revitalized the team.

Before the G League kicked off, the players of 'FC Gaebengers' held a meeting with Chairman Ha Seok-joo. The players expressed their concerns, saying, "We worry that when 'Gaeb' returns, there might be a significant skill gap with other teams." In response, Chairman Ha mentioned that the 'Goal Scoring Federation' would consider ways to address this. During a subsequent coaches' meeting, Choi Sung-yong, who was appointed as the coach of 'Gaebengers,' voiced his concerns based on his past experience leading 'FC Anaconda,' stating that it is not easy for a released team to achieve results upon their return. The question remains whether 'Gaebengers' can smoothly adapt to the league.

After an eight-month hiatus since their last match, 'FC Gaebengers' is preparing for the game with a strong determination. Coach Choi Sung-yong has declared a focus on 'pragmatic football,' aiming solely for victory. He has also promised to create scoring opportunities through set pieces that leverage the players' strengths, such as Kim Seung-hye's excellent kicking ability and Oh Na-mi's speed. The players have been undergoing intense training and theoretical study to solidify their resolve for a victorious comeback.

However, just a week before the match, an unexpected challenge arose for 'Gaebengers,' and Coach Choi appeared at the training ground with a serious expression. He stated, "It's difficult to completely revise our tactics at this point with only a week left," even cutting off an interview. Curiosity about the crisis facing 'Gaebengers' is growing.

Despite the sudden crisis, 'FC Gaebengers' and Coach Choi Sung-yong remain committed to their goal of victory. Oh Na-mi expressed her determination, saying, "Many people see 'Gaeb' as an easy target for a win, but we will show that is not the case." Coach Choi even brought along a 'lucky lime' that had helped lead Coach Kim Byung-ji to victory, showcasing his earnestness. The spotlight is on whether 'Gaebengers' can overcome this trial and achieve a successful return.

The high-stakes comeback match for 'FC Gaebengers' will be aired on 'Kick a Goal' at 9 PM on the 12th.
