On February 12, Yang Se-hyung and Yang Sechan guested on tvN's television show 'You Quiz on the Block'.
Yang Sechan, who said he used to mimic everything his older brother Yang Se-hyung did while growing up, shared that he wanted to be a comedian because of Yang Se-hyung.
"One day, I saw his stage performance and was immediately captivated. I was like, I want to be up there on the stage, too.", Yang Sechan remembered.
After both debuted, Yang Se-hyung and Yang Sechan initially did not reveal they were brothers; they explained that it was to gain independent recognition in the comedy scene.
Yang Se-hyung recalled the time he wanted to join a segment of a comedy show Yang Sechan was on, but Yang Sechan turned him down.
"After that, things between us were awkward for a year.", Yang Se-hyung shared.
Yang Sechan then talked about an early time in his career; their brotherhood was known, and Yang Se-hyung was much more successful than him.
Yang Sechan expressed that carrying the title 'Yang Se-hyung's younger brother' came to him as a pressure, feeling like he should do better to keep up with his brother's reputation.
"My heart sank as he told me about it. But I reassured him, acting like it was no big deal. I thought the best thing I could do for him was to lift his spirits and make him laugh.", said Yang Se-hyung.
In a separate interview, Yang Se-hyung and Yang Sechan revealed their unspoken feelings for each other.
"I wanted to tell you that I'm not the child you need to look after anymore. I hope you wouldn't worry about me so much, alright?", Yang Sechan said, tears streaming down his face.
"I've been thinking I may have caused you so much worry about me by choosing this job. I hope you can pursue whatever you want without concern for me.", he earnestly expressed.
"You are the most wonderful younger brother in the whole world. You help me be a better older brother just by being such a great younger brother.", he said with a smile.
"If there's a next life, I'll be your younger brother as kind as you are. Then you could order me around as much as you want!"
After a brief pause, Yang Se-hyung added, "I love you more than anyone in this world. I'm always grateful for you."
