Jung Sung-il Shares Why He Thought 'The Glory' Is an Amazing Project Once Again
Actor Jung Sung-il shared his thoughts on the continued success of the "The Glory" cast.

On February 18, Jung Sung-il sat down for an interview at a café in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

During the interview, Jung Sung-il mentioned one of his biggest hits, "The Glory."

In "The Glory, which was released in two parts in 2022 and 2023, Jung Sung-il made a strong impression as Ha Do-young, the husband of the school bully Park Yeon-jin (actress Im Ji Yeon).

With his cold demeanor and obsession with the game of Go, Ha Do-young stood out for his unique qualities.

But underneath it all, his deep fatherly love and fierce protectiveness over what is his really caught viewers' attention.
Jung Sung-ilNot only has Jung Sung-il, but the entire cast of "The Glory" has continued to thrive since the show's massive success.

Just earlier this year, Lee Do Hyun, who played Joo Yeo-jung, became a box office star with the film "Exhuma."

Park Sung Hoon starred in "Squid Game," Im Ji Yeon led "The Tale of Lady Ok," and Cha Joo Young appeared in "The Queen Who Crowns"—all of them finding great success.

Even the child actors from "The Glory," like Shin Ye Eun and Song Ji-woo, are making waves as well.
Jung Sung-ilJung Sung-il mentioned that he has been closely following the work of his "The Glory" co-stars.

Jung Sung-il said, "Watching their recent projects, I couldn't help but think, 'The Glory was really something special.' I believe the reason the writer, actors, and crew have all done so well is that everyone nailed their roles. And they're proving that now."

He added, "Seeing Ji Yeon and Joo Young doing so well in their careers makes me so happy and proud. Sometimes, I'll watch dramas as just another viewer and think, 'Oh, I know them!' and then reach out to tell them how much I enjoyed their work. 'The Glory' was definitely an amazing show."
