On February 19, KINO took to Instagram to express his emotions after attending Kim Saeron's funeral.

He went on to say, "I'm grateful so many people came to send her off—I'm sure it brought her family some comfort."
He also addressed the toxic side of fame, saying, "How many more stars do we have to lose before this stops? What you see isn't everything. No one should have to endure baseless rumors, blown-up stories, and relentless hate just because they're in the public eye. I really hope we don't have to go through something like this again."
KINO then ended his writing with a final goodbye to Kim Saeron: "I hope you're happier now. You went through so much."

They grew up together as childhood friends while being under the same agency for many years.
