[SBS Entertainment News | Kang Kyung-youn] Former BLACKPINK member Rose has officially withdrawn from the Korean Music Copyright Association (hereafter referred to as 'KOMCA').

According to the 'Trust Termination Works' section on the KOMCA website, Rose submitted her request for termination on October 31 of last year, and her contract ended on September 31 after a three-month grace period.

KOMCA is the largest music copyright management organization in South Korea and has the second-largest membership in Asia, following the Japanese Music Copyright Association.

It is speculated that Rose's decision to leave KOMCA is to focus on her global activities. Moving forward, the music she releases will be managed through Atlantic Records, which collaborates with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), boasting over 950,000 members.

Rose gained worldwide popularity with her song "Apartment," featuring Bruno Mars, and signed a global music activity contract with Atlantic Records, a subsidiary of Warner Music Group, in September of last year.

Notably, Seo Taiji also made headlines when he withdrew from KOMCA in 2002.
