At the production presentation for the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Buried Hearts' (written by Lee Myung-hee, directed by Jin Chang-kyu) held on the afternoon of the 21st at the SBS headquarters in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, Heo Jun-ho and Park Hyung-sik shared their thoughts on their acting chemistry.
Heo Jun-ho reminisced about the first time he met Park Hyung-sik over ten years ago. He said, "I met Hyung-sik when he was active with ZE:A during an interview at a radio station in LA. It was cold in LA, and the kids were struggling, which made me feel sorry for them. What I remember from that meeting is Hyung-sik."
He continued, "When I met him this time, Park Hyung-sik had grown into a man. I was so surprised that he had changed so much that I even made a mistake on the first day of filming. It was great to see him as a man, not a child." He also praised Park Hyung-sik for his impressive performance in their confrontational scenes, saying, "I really tried hard not to lose to our Hyung-sik during filming."
'Buried Hearts' tells the story of Seo Dong-joo (played by Park Hyung-sik), who hacks into a political slush fund worth 2 trillion won to take down the absolute evil that killed him and to dismantle that world, engaging in a high-stakes revenge battle. Park Hyung-sik plays the lead role of Seo Dong-joo, who faces off against Heo Jun-ho, who plays the role of the 'absolute evil' Yeom Jang-seon. The two men's intergenerational anti-bromance chemistry is expected to captivate viewers.
Park Hyung-sik also expressed his admiration for Heo Jun-ho. He said, "There is a space in the drama where Yeom Jang-seon is present. While filming a scene where Dong-joo confronts him, as soon as I saw my senior's face, I felt chills all the way to the top of my head, like a cat's fur standing on end. At that moment, I felt the power of my senior once again." He added, "I thought to myself, 'I hope that when I get older, I can have that kind of aura and perform like that,' from our very first meeting."
'Buried Hearts,' featuring Park Hyung-sik, Heo Jun-ho, Lee Hae-young, Hong Hwa-yeon, Woo Hyun, and Kim Jung-ran, will premiere tonight at 10 PM as a follow-up to 'Love Scout.' It will air every Friday at 10 PM and Saturday at 9:50 PM thereafter.
