On the February 23 episode of SBS's 'Running Man,' the 'SOS Extreme Cleaning Zone' race took place.
The episode featured a visit to Kim Jong-kook's home, as the cast had previously expressed a desire to help clean up his messy living space.
Viewers were shocked to see his balcony filled with plastic bags. When the members suggested throwing them away, Kim Jong-kook insisted on keeping them, secretly stashing them away, which caught everyone's attention.
He also urged the members not to throw away the shopping bags he had collected, prompting Ji Ye-eun to ask, "If you can't even throw away trash, why are you hoarding these?"
The other members teased Kim Jong-kook, saying, "You're like the Plastic Bag Uncle. When are you ever going to use all of this? You wouldn't be able to use it in a lifetime."
Ji Ye-eun pleaded, "Please, just throw it away, senior!" but Kim Jong-kook countered, "Just leave the plastic bags alone, please."
He then explained, "Listen to me. I'm planning to recycle these. If I throw them away, how can I recycle?" Ha Ha shook his head and remarked, "This is just like something you'd see on 'That's Amazing.'"
Despite the ongoing banter, Kim Jong-kook fiercely defended his collection of plastic bags, and more bags kept pouring out from the balcony. Yoo Jae-suk commented, "Honestly, this could be featured on 'That's Amazing,'" to which Kim Jong-kook replied, "I'm doing this because I'm planning to move," causing everyone to burst into laughter.
