G-DRAGON Jokes About BIGBANG Becoming a 3-Member Group Against Their Will
G-DRAGON of K-pop boy group BIGBANG opened up about the departures of former group members SEUNGRI and T.O.P.

On February 23 episode of MBC's television show "Good Day," G-DRAGON met up with other male celebrities who were born in 1988.

G-DRAGON was joined by actors Kim Soo Hyun, Jung Hae In, model Lee Soo Hyuk, Yim Siwan, and Hwang Kwang Hee of boy group ZE:A.

When gathered together, they laughed and all joked, "Wow, I never thought we'd all be in the same frame!"
Good DayWhile talking, Yim Siwan mentioned that ZE:A and BIGBANG promoted around the same time.

Then, Hwang Kwang Hee added, "Back then, G-DRAGON was already a superstar!" and talked about teaming up with G-DRAGON on MBC's television show "Infinite Challenge.

He reminisced with a smile, "I still remember performing with G-DRAGON like it was yesterday."
Good DayG-DRAGON then brought up ZE:A, asking, "How many members were in ZE:A again?"

Hwang Kwang Hee replied, "Nine," before saying, "If I'm ever reborn, I want to practice singing harder and debut in a trio."

It seemed like he was referring to BIGBANG, which now consists of just G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and DAESUNG after SEUNGRI and T.O.P left the group.

G-DRAGON quickly responded with a laugh, "Well, you know, it's not like we wanted BIGBANG to be a 3-member group," causing everyone to burst out laughing.

Surprised, Hwang Kwang Hee replied, "Oh my! My bad! I didn't mean to... That's not what I meant!" while Yim Siwan teased him, saying, "Why would you say something like that?"
Good DayBIGBANG officially became a trio after SEUNGRI left the group in 2019 following the Burning Sun scandal, and T.O.P confirmed his departure in 2022.
