On February 24 episode of KBS' "Car Wash JANG," GUMMY appeared as a guest.
During the show, GUMMY opened up about how she first met her husband, Cho Jung Seok.
"My friend Young-ji of Bubble Sisters had asked Jung Seok to star in her music video. She really wanted him, so I pushed a little and called Jung Seok herself, asking if they could meet. He said he couldn't at first, but she remembered he once mentioned being a fan of mine when they were doing a musical together. So, she kind of used me and told him that I was there with her," she said with a laugh.

The singer stated, "There weren't any romantic feelings at first. He was different from the guys I had dated in the past. He didn't seem like a bad guy, but he kept reaching out without really moving things forward between us. The calls and messages kept coming, but it was hard to tell where he stood," she explained, describing his mixed signals early on.
Eventually, GUMMY shared that she decided to clear the air. "I told him, 'I have these feelings for you, but I think we should just stay friends.' But instead, he asked to be his girlfriend. Later, he told me he had made a promise to himself not to date anyone until he reached a certain point in his career. He said it was hard for him too, staying in touch with me while holding back."
